What the App Does

Sleep Timer is a simple countdown timer that pauses media playback and turns off your screen when the timer ends. It is designed to help you fall asleep while listening to music, podcasts, or audiobooks.

Data Collection

We do not collect any data. Specifically:

No personal information is collected
No usage data or analytics are collected
No cookies or tracking technologies are used
No data is sent to any server or third party
No accounts or sign-ups are required

Permissions

The app requests certain Android permissions solely to perform its core function:

Notifications — to show the countdown timer and remaining time while the timer is running
Device Admin — to turn off the screen when the timer finishes (optional, the app works without it)
Notification Listener — to detect and pause active media playback when the timer ends
Audio Settings — to request audio focus so media players pause playback
Wake Lock — to ensure the timer keeps running accurately in the background

None of these permissions are used to access, collect, or share your personal data. All processing happens entirely on your device.

Third-Party Services

Sleep Timer does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app contains no ads.

Internet Access

The app does not require internet access to function. The only network activity occurs if you choose to tap the optional "Donate via PayPal" button, which opens the PayPal website in your browser.

Children's Privacy

Since the app does not collect any data, it is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Given the minimal nature of the app, significant changes are unlikely.
